Free guided meditations are a great place to start on the road to living mindfully.
Firstly I am going to dispel a myth. Mediation is not about relaxing. If you want to relax take a trip to Bali, lay on the beach and sip a margarita, in fact, if you would like company, that sounds divine.
What is Meditation For?
Meditation is about bringing your mind into the present. When your mind is fully present all the constant background chatter, thoughts etc ease. Practice meditation regularly and the benefits to you your health and how you experience and perceive the world around you will be immense

I use meditation daily to destress, create high vibes, help me sleep, calm me down, help me think and create abundance. When going through menopause these were invaluable to help ease some of the menopause symptoms I was experiencing
Try these to get you started.
I particularly like The Honest Guys library of amazing meditations. Their You Tube channel has a fabulous variety of amazing meditations. I like this one here which is for relief from anxiety and is a visualisation which appealed to me. Plus it is only 12 minutes which is about the perfect length for what I can fit in.
This is an app you can have on your phone which has every type of meditation you can imagine. Try a few and see if there are any that take your fancy. Users can rate them so that may be a place to start.

I was looking for an abundance meditation the other day and came upon this one. I particularly like it. It is a simple meditation with a good soundtrack.

So there you have it, something for everyone. I urge you to try a short meditation each day for 2 weeks and see what it does for you. I found I slept better and was better able to deal with stressful situations. At times it may seem like a chore to have to leave what you are doing to meditate but consider the benefits and I am pretty sure no one ever said: “I wish I hadn’t wasted my time on that meditation.”
